Note(s)Galway Cathedral is the youngest great stone cathedral in Europe. Its design incorporates Hiberno-Romanesque features with a Grecian-style dome and Gothic windows. It is constructed from local limestone and includes a ceiling built from American wood and a floor of Connemara marble.
