Note(s)
'Slow Architecture and Place’ was a boat-based exhibition that travelled the Grand Canal, taking architectural discourse to new audiences in communities in Counties Offaly, Kildare and Dublin. The exhibition took the much maligned adjective ‘slow’ from the slow food and cittaslow movement, which have a common holistic concern with ethical, social and environmental issues, and looked to transpose these values to the built environment and asked architects and artists to respond to this notion of slow in their own way.
