This new housing social housing development, undertaken on behalf of Tuath Housing Association, has been built on a derelict site of 19th century public housing. While the original buildings are not registered as protected, they are rated by the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH) as being of regional importance. As such, original features such as sash windows, timber shop fronts and cast iron railings have been preserved and restored.
